This client is a low voltage switchgear manufacturing & electrical trading
company in Kuwait. The company has products ranging from LV switchgear,
circuit protection, control & automation, wiring accessories, lighting and
other electrical Products for domestic, commercial & industrial sector.

Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Stores to lead the warehouse
team and monitor the day to day operation process efficiently and
productively. You will be organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage
and dispatch of goods in Warehouse and supervising the staff.
* Support the Logistics Manager in making policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain stores and staff security;
* Compile stock control records and documentation, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage;
* Receive delivered supplies, materials; confirms that delivered Material match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number with all necessary paperwork;
* Ensure adequate inventory of product in accord with inventory cycle;
* Coordinate and manage daily physical cycle counts and reconciles if actual counts reports;
* Control the product's incoming and outgoing from warehouse;
* Verifying periodically the matching between physical quantities in stocks with those indicated in the system and undertaking the necessary corrective measures in case of discrepancies;
* Supervise every activity that relates to inventory control in the stores environment;
* Ensure all items in the stores are appropriately received and stored with Barcodes according to designated area;
* Work directly with direct manager to bring up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow;
* Review balance of inventory and count the items in stock;
* Investigate hitches in the store 's inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance;
* Support in hiring staff as and when needed;
* Liaise with direct manager in implementing disciplinary actions against warehouse staff found wanting for offenses that require management decisions;
* Set up schedules for the stores; monitor staff performances, and conduct reviews;
* Organize and maintains stores and inventory yard areas for efficient material storage and handling; maintains Barcode labeling system on each stock item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned;
* Prepare yearly employee evaluation based on their overall performance and submit the Appraisal Report to Logistics Manager.

Skills & Competencies:
* Job knowledge, organized, productive, reliable, team leader;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Well acquainted with English, Arabic, Hindi or Urdu languages;
* Ability to handle work pressure;
* Capable to work overtime and additional working hours when it is required;
* IT skills: Basic Warehouse module, Orion based Inventory Software, Microsoft Office Tools required;
* Technical knowledge through experience: LV Switchgear would be optimum, however, Electrical, Lighting, manufacturing would also be good.
Education & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field;
* ‎7 or more years of relevant Head of Stores experience;
* Middle East region experience and network.
