The position


As a Legal, Ethics, and Compliance Manager, you will be the subject matter
expert and sparring partner to Affiliate and Obesity Business Unit management,
ensuring holistic (multi-disciplinary) obesity initiative and issue ownership.
Main Accountabilities:
• Proactively drive processes and initiatives to secure strategic integration
of ethics and compliance in decision-making for the Obesity Business Unit in
the Affiliate and provide Legal, Ethics and Compliance (LEC) review and sign
off on all commercial, public affairs, medical strategies, and plans related
to obesity
• Drive International Operations obesity Legal, Ethics and Compliance
priorities at the Affiliate and Business Unit level, helping to create local
ownership of key obesity goals and accountability for their achievement
• Proactively drive risk management processes related to obesity initiatives
in the Affiliate, and implement adequate mitigating actions
• Support LEC function on general Legal, Ethics and Compliance advice and help
drive an ethical mindset in the Affiliate by supporting in creating engagement
and initiatives around ethics


Qualifications


As our Legal, Ethics and Compliance Manager, you need to have a minimum of ‎7
years of experience in a corporate legal or compliance position within a
multinational organization, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or in a
leading law firm.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• A Bachelor's degree in Law; Master's degree in Law is preferable
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
• Strong business partnering mindset and approach
• Experience in compliance will be considered as a plus. Other relevant
experiences like FMCG can be considered
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage rapport with stakeholders at
various organizational levels and solve complex problems involving multiple
parties
• Experience navigating internal dynamics, such as working in a global matrix
environment

colleagues. With the most robust Obesity, Diabetes, Haemophilia, Growth
Disorders and Other Serious Chronic Diseases pipeline in the industry we are
well positioned to meet future growth challenges and address the needs of our
patients in Gulf Cluster.
The Legal, Ethics and Compliance Department provides support and legal
assistance to all functions and Business Units.
