Position Title: Principal Resource Geologist

2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the job is to study the composition, structure, and other
physical aspects of the Earth, applying geological, physics, and mathematics
knowledge, and provide original and innovative solutions in exploration of
metals and minerals within the Geoscience discipline. This would include the
Design, schedule, budget and execution of grade control and resource
evaluation programmes. The incumbent will manage, develop and supervise the
resource and grade control block models and be accountable for the quality of
the modelling, the integrity of the data to generate the models and the
implementation of industry best practices for the generation and continuous
improvements of the models. The incumbent will have a proactive and hands on
approach in the involvement of generating drilling programs that actively
contribute to the improvement and extensions of the resource and grade control
block models.
3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Qualification:
1. Master 's Degree in Earth Science related discipline
2. Professional Geologist Registration with a recognized professional
membership
Experience:
1. 15 years ' experience as a Geologist of which 5 years in resource
estimation
2. Extensive experience in open pit and/or underground mine geology
3. Extensive experience in structurally complex gold epithermal systems
4. Competent person signoff of Mineral Resources under JORC 2012
5. International experience
Skills:
1. Expert understanding of health and safety risks and safe operating
procedures in operations [essential] in remote desert environment
[desirable]
2. Senior first aid certificate [essential]
3. Demonstrable commitment to health and safety
4. Expert understanding of resource modelling and industry best practices
of resource modelling and geostatistics
5. Expert working knowledge [five years] of targeted mineral deposit type
6. Computer literacy in Office suites including MS Project and Team as well
as mining software e.g. Acquire, ArcGIS, ioGas, Leapfrog, Vulcan, MicroMine,
Surpac, Datamine
7. Expert competence in data management and QAQC
8. Expert knowledge of ore control practices and ability to implement best

accordance with JORC Code 2012 (desirable)

1. Own the mineral resource model and associated geological databases using
industry standards and best practices
2. Provide resource and reserve technical assistance to mining engineering
and mine geology
3. Oversee and manage the development and improvement of the operational
grade control block models
4. Oversee and manage the development and improvement as well as the
implementation of industry standard resource estimation and geological
modelling practices and procedures and assist with the transfer of skills to
the Operations.
5. Lead the planning and execution of drilling programs that are in line
with operational requirements
6. Develop drilling programs with the aim of continually improving the
geological modelling, grade control processes and resource and estimation
modelling.
7. Supervise the calibration and improvements of mineral resource and grade
control block models based on reconciliation and production performance
8. Lead the development of drilling programs that add to the mineral
resource, replenish ore reserve depletion and identified possible near mine
targets.
9. Lead the ranking of near mine drilling targets and the strategic
direction of any near mine exploration activities
10. Manage the analyses, interpretation and report of drilling programme
results, data QAQC
11. Lead in the evaluation of near mine exploration targets including
target ranking'
12. Provide senior level technical advice to the Chief Geologist, Principal
Geologist, Geology Manager and Senior Director Geology
13. Apply current industry best practice in resource modelling, geological
modelling, reconciliation and QAQC
14. Ensure knowledge and compliance with applicable Ma'aden HSE codes,
