Job Summary:

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) Department of Computer
Science and Engineering is currently seeking a lab instructor to begin Fall
‎2023 (mid-August). Candidates for this position must hold a master's degree in
artificial intelligence and have demonstrated ability or potential for
excellence in teaching and service. The successful candidate is expected to
teach the following labs: machine learning, introduction to computer
programming (C++ and python), computer networks, computer architecture,
microprocessors, and embedded systems. Additionally, the instructor is
expected to have experience with Hadoop framework and AI machine learning
tools (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, Microsoft Power BI, etc.).

Lab Instructor for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) Department of Computer
Science and Engineering is currently seeking a lab instructor to begin Fall

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the American University
of Ras Al Khaimah offers two four-year Bachelor of Science Degrees namely:
Computer Science and Computer Engineering. The Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET and
the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is accredited by the
Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The primary goal of the
department is to educate students and produce skilled developers, engineers,
and entrepreneurs who are equipped to excel in a competitive market and to
launch their own start-ups.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Teaching laboratories and introductory level courses
* Participation in departmental, school, and university committees and activities
* Advising and mentoring students
* Participation in outreach activities, such as continuing education workshops
Required Qualifications:
* Candidate must hold a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from an accredited institution of higher education
* Effective oral and written English communication skills
* University teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices
* Interest and experience in working effectively with a diverse student population
* Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
* Experience with ABET accreditation requirements
