ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY

Under supervision of the project PM, the Youth Empowerment and Engagement
Assistant is responsible for supporting and consolidating the database,
presenting data collected by the project teams. He/She will also be involved
in the preparation and supporting the project staff with activities
requirements, daily attendance sheets, and project documents.
FUNCTIONS

1. Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

• Development of Information Collection Mechanisms;


• To ensure regular gathering of data collected by project teams;


• To ensure accurate and timely entry of data into the database;


• To ensure proper filing of data;


• To work closely with the other project teams to regularly enter, cross check data and update data collected in the field;


• To gather the project documents and keep them organized;


• Assist the Project Manager to keep an appropriate and confidential database;


• Duly complete daily and weekly reports on the status and progress of technical works;


• Upon the request from the Project Manger to liaise and interact with government authorities and beneficiaries as it relates to the project;

* Develop weekly work plans and write regular reports on progress of activities;
* Maintain constant contact with team members, direct and indirect beneficiaries (receive their requests, provide available information, etc.);
* Assist the Project Manager in developing strategy, planning and reporting of all activities, challenges, lessons learned and pending issues, preparing and updating action plans;
* Respect the total confidentiality of the information collected and circulated;
* Participate in the daily briefing and debriefing sessions and to the organization of the weekly plan with the teams under supervision of the Project Manager;
* Commit to participation in any other task in order to achieve the overall project objective.
*** Bachelor Degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Business management;
* Minimum ‎1 year experience in the field and in a related position
* Fluency in written and spoken Kurdish and English, good handle of the Arabic Language
* Excellent knowledge of (IT)
* Capability to establish good and respectful relationship with other actors, beneficiaries and stakeholders;
* Experience with participatory fieldwork, methodologies, monitoring and reporting;
* Knowledge of humanitarian principles and code of conduct;
* Patience, good personal organization, good communication and ability to work in teams;
* Very good interpersonal and diplomatic skills, especially with beneficiaries and local authorities;
* Initiative, flexibility, team spirit, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude;
