Job Overview:
This position will lead the development and execution of a sustainable Finance
Excellence strategy. Focused on transforming processes and practices across
the organization, this individual will lead Process Excellence in Finance with
the objective of driving business impact, reducing costs, and positively
impacting productivity.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
(Technical Accounting Manager Variation)
* Support Investor Relations function for development and maintenance of quarterly publicly available materials including the Earnings Release, Supplemental Deck and c-level office scrips.
* Provide technical assistance to the Corporate Accounting team on accounting for complex transactions.
* Maintain consistent process with effective controls for raising, evaluating and documenting technical issues.
* Keep current on new accounting and SEC regulations, proposed regulations, and agenda items of standard setters.
* Support company-wide finance continuing education efforts.
* Support development and implementation readiness plans for the adoption of upcoming standards (e.g. lease accounting, etc.)
* The Technical Accounting Manager will assist with the evaluation and documentation of complex accounting transactions and will provide input in to the development of accounting policies.
* The person is expected to work on multiple projects at any given time, and some of the work may require fast turnaround.
* Most will require the professional to read through complex documents, identify the relevant accounting issues, and then conduct research to address the issues.

* This individual will consult and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, measure the effectiveness of existing business processes, and develop sustainable, quantifiable business process improvements.
* Roll out Lean Six Sigma Methodologies across Finance.
* This individual will be on the Lean Six Sigma Council for MDR.
* Deliver Six Sigma Green/Black training to the organization.
* Roll out Lean Six Sigma Methodologies across Finance.

* Deliver Six Sigma Green/Black Belt training to the organization.
(Project Reporting Manager Variation)
* Preparation of project related consolidation adjustments in line with GAAP for external reporting and forecasting purposes.
* Analysis, assessment and reporting of monthly/quarterly project Gross Profit Movement, Breakeven, Loss Projects, and Combining Adjustments at a consolidated level
* Assisting in preparation of monthly/annual financial forecast for major projects
* Preparation of monthly analysis of project specific current period results against forecasted results
* Consolidation and analysis of quarterly project related schedules
* Preparation of monthly project adjustments (Dilution Risk, Revenue Combining, Loss Reserve adjustments)
* Analysis and preparation of monthly reconciliation for Revenue, Backlog and Public GP
* Maintenance and consolidation of project related corporate reports (Hyperion HFM and Planning)
Essential Qualifications and Education:
(Technical Accounting Manager Variation)
* Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting is required. CPA required.
* 5-7 years' experience in financial accounting and experience dealing with complex accounting issues.
* Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.
* Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
* Computer literate on Microsoft programs: Word, Access, Power Point, Excel, Project.
* The successful candidate must be versatile and proactive with a solid work ethic, strong leadership skills, and ability to work well as a member of a team.
(Six Sigma Variation)
* Degree in Finance or related discipline.
* Six Sigma Black Belt Citification.
* 5+ years of professional experience in a large dynamic corporation.
* 5+ years of leadership experience in the mentoring of Six Sigma and Lean practices.
* Able to be adaptable and responsive, works well with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.

(Project Manager Variation)
* Minimum 5-7 years project / finance related experience.
* Minimum a Bachelor Degree.
* Understanding of HFM reporting systems and JDE, a plus.
* Strong understanding of ASC 606 - Revenue recognition standard and how it impacts project accounting.
* Strong technical and accounting skills and in-depth knowledge of project accounting.
* Highly analytical and excellent communication skills.
* Enjoy working in a changing and flexible environment.
