Job Description:
The General Accountant maintains all necessary income audit and Financial
Accounting tasks in accordance with hotel accounting and financial controls.
All works will be in line with the Hotel policies and procedures as outlined
in Wyndham SOP.

INCOME - GA TASKS
* Performs an audit of the daily night audit ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
* Follows up on all issues occurred at night, audit process with department heads.
* Performs full audit on corrections/ adjustments/ reversals and voids.
* Processes daily journal voucher generated by Opera/Micros systems.
* Prepares all necessary daily reports including the daily sales report.
* Prepares daily/monthly sales report for the Finance in-charge in a timely manner.
* Maintains filing systems for the daily information; registration cards, credit cards, restaurant charges, promotional tickets and coupons, zero/cash folios, etc.
* Maintains an adequate inventory of all manual guest checks.
* Prepares all necessary period end closing reports.
* Completes period end journals.
* Reconciles GL and All revenue related accounts.
* Maintains accurate budget, forecast, last year revenues in daily sales report for all departs.
* Audits general cashier reports with system generated collection to actual and reports to Finance in-charge.
* Prepares reports as requested to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
* Assists Cluster Chief Accountant and Department Heads in preparing for the month end P &L review and annual budgets.
* Assists and advises on the controlling of Hotel expenses.
* Does an analysis of the profit and loss statement of the Hotel and review month-end closing.
* Provides administrative support to the Management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance.
* Performs any additional duties as assigned by Cluster Chief Accountant.
* Preparing the bank reconciliation.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.
Desired Skill & Expertise:
*
Minimum ‎2 years of experience as an accountant in a ‎4/‎5*Hotel.
* Degree/Diploma in accounts or Business Administration.
* Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant accounting systems.
* Strong Income Audit background.
* Attention to details.
