Job Purpose: Develop and implement the EmQuest strategy to promote travel
technology (Sabre and complementary products) and data-driven solutions to
help our airline, hotel and travel agency partners to grow their businesses
and transform their traveller experience. Maintain and develop strong
relationships with our partners and respond to their needs through offering
flexible, reliable, and scalable solutions. Manage the dedicated EmQuest
support teams to tailor customer solutions and support to achieve the annual
distribution revenue targets, along with optimum product and pricing mix.
Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships and market programs
to achieve profitability and volume to retain market share and leadership.
Accountable for integration and coordination of seamless service delivery
through leadership of EmQuest and its functional units (Sales & CRM,
Operations, and Product). Job Accountabilities: Plan - Implement strategic
plans to promote EmQuest as a preferred technology partner whilst
understanding market conditions and characteristics, competitor activity,
product and technology development, and market positioning to ensure a
cohesive, feasible plan that meets business objectives; - Manage the
distribution channel and partner strategies of Travel Management Companies
(TMC), B2B, Retail and Online Travel Agents (OTA) both regionally in UAE and
globally; - Extensively network with agency partners across all customer
segments to keep abreast of industry practices; - Define and drive the
structure and governance across customer segments in terms of product fit,
service level agreements and financial incentives; - Contribute to, and
implement, an overall strategy for the EmQuest brands and products in harmony
with Sabre International and the Emirates Group corporate standards thereby
ensuring consumer value creation through concepts and packaging of products. -
Attend Distribution focussed forums with Sabre and more generally to ensure
EmQuest remains focussed and relevant in its approach to offering products and
services to the marketplace Deploy - Develop new and complimentary revenue
streams through distribution and reseller agreements with Travel Technology
companies to represent them in the markets that we serve through
identification and procurement of suitable products and skills for sales,
support and ongoing enhancement of customer base; - Represent EmQuest at Trade
Events i.e. (ATM, BTI travel show, Quest) exhibitions and industry conferences
and work with travel agency associations like (Dubai Travel and Tour Agents
Group (DTTAG), Travel & Tourism Agencies Council (ATTAC), Short-Term
Accommodation Association (STAA) and Ras Al Khaimah Travel to represent
EmQuest in a positive and appropriate manner that reflects its international
and regional position; - Review annual budgets and oversee their
implementation within overall cost and productivity parameters - Attend
EmQuest/Sabre board meetings to discuss performance, pipeline & MDLA - Develop
an annual marketing strategy to promote EmQuest at customer events and brand
marketing strategy through engagement with central marketing to promote across
internal/external communication platforms Lead - Build trust and forge
influential and close working relationships with key decision makers in Sabre,
travel agencies, airline fraternity, the travel technology and e-commerce
Industry, with partners in other markets, within the dnata/Emirates group and
leverage these relationships to cross-pollinate business, revenue generating
and strategic opportunities; - Manage the performance of the sales team
through effective performance targets, account management allocation, and
training, ensuring maximum productivity and contribution of each team member.
Prepare and implement annual budgets and adjust and report on progress to
achieve monthly and annual sales, and develop marketing plans to facilitate
achievement of annual budgets; - Role model a culture of open communication,
clear direction, accountability, collaboration and performance management to
deliver against the one dnata vision mission and values; - Manage and direct a
strong and effective team, ensuring that collaboration and team effectiveness
are focus areas, and ensuring the operating model maximises opportunities for,
and the strengths of, the team. Establish ongoing team development
opportunities to ensure they are up to date with emerging and current trends
and opportunities. Execute - Expand & penetrate new markets in the territory
requiring preparation of business cases to assess viability, development of
project plans, and define the most appropriate legal and commercial structure
and the appropriate researching and direction for implementation. Need to
understand and keep political sensitivities in mind. Direct research of market
dynamics in the various countries and use knowledge effectively to build best
practices and successful market strategies. - Review & implement an
appropriate e-commerce strategy offering in all markets and use achieved
market position to create opportunities in related business. - Deliver
successful online travel solutions to airlines, corporations and travel
agencies in the region. Transform and grow online solutions that are reliable,
easy, secure and promote high return on investment. - Fully engage with Sabre
to understand its strategy and roadmap for supply of NDC across UAE and ME,
challenge approach where appropriate, and use this knowledge to educate UAE
market on Sabre approach and viability as a partner of choice for both legacy
and NDC supply
Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: - Undergraduate/Bachelor degree
(‎12+‎3) in Business Administration/Technology/Travel & Tourism Experience:
Commercial/Sales - ‎10+ years of experience in commercial management roles in a
travel or tourism related business - Experience within the airline/travel
industry in a sales/product/distribution leadership capacity and as a user of
airline and travel systems Knowledge: - Working knowledge of travel management
systems - An established network within the travel industry (primarily UAE and
Middle East region), along with a deep knowledge of the travel industry,
including competitor activity - Excellent commercial acumen in leading and
managing a profit centre, financially astute with the ability to identify
opportunities - Demonstrable experience in managing complex projects and a
team - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to
persuade and influence stakeholders, internal and external to the business -
Understanding of how to engage and communicate with a cross cultural customer
base and sensitivity of different backgrounds Safety Sensitive Role: No
