• Supervises and ensures smooth operation of menu preparation and food production activities


• Assists in product evaluation process and checks quality and composition of patients' therapeutic diets Reviews policies, procedures and quality standards and ensures that they are implemented in daily catering activities. Assists the Catering Supervisor in Implementing Cost effective strategy in all Catering services and Menu planning.


• Prepares the staff duty Rota.


• Assists the catering supervisor in training, evaluating and developing staff in their assigned area. Participates in implementing necessary waste management and pest control services in the unit.


• Follows up on equipment and machineries maintenance.


• Ensures food, personnel and environment are hygienic


• Perform any other tasks as assigned by line manager
