Job Description:

As a communications Representative you will provide communications
consultation and support on a variety of internal and/or external topics. You
will have high standards, incredible attention to detail and precision in
communication and have a passion for developing and nurturing relationships.
You will join the EAMA distribution team and act as key member of this team.
In this role you will keep customers and internal teams updated on Caterpillar
news and products to ensure a clear and effective message is delivered to all
stakeholders. The successful candidate will become effective as a
practitioner, growing the skills sets needed to take on more of a strategic
role. You will provide focused messaging and communications and will be a key
part of representing a global brand.

Duties and responsibilities:
* Providing communications expertise to the business unit leaders & HR managers in the development and production of communication deliverables at a corporate and/or business unit level.
* You will assist in leading the development of departmental communication strategies and create department communications, provide consulting to customers, and serve as a support to the Communications Lead on Division strategy
* Responsible for Communications in line with Corporate Standards and Cat/Caterpillar brand guidelines (organize all employee meetings, streamline newsletter process, maintain local website(s), support inclusion and interaction across the different Business unit silos: Continue promoting Yammer as business Facebook community, work with and provide communication guidance to Geneva based ERG communicators, …).
* Responsible for developing and executing communication activities including newsletters, web sites, videos, streaming media, employee meetings, displays, photographs, presentations, special events, cascades, etc.
* The position generally owns several communications vehicles and manages several non-repeating projects, both internally and externally, through to completion.
* Overseeing web content management for all business unit(s) web sites, including some writing and content creation. Position coordinates event management activities, such as leader meetings, all employee meetings, etc.
* Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, considering alternative courses of actions, making timely decisions, and continuing to build communication skills.
Skill and experience:
* The position typically requires a college or university degree in communications or equivalent, demonstrable experience.
* Competent user of digital channels, media and use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
* First-class communication skills (written and oral) are essential for this role
* Excellent interpersonal skills are also essential to develop a cooperative working relationship with others inside and outside of the department
* Experience of working within a global brand would be beneficial, preferably in the technology or retail/FMCG industries.
* Two to three years of job-related experience is typically required, preferably as a business unit or corporate communicator
* The ability to maintain confidentiality
