Reporting Into: Finance Manager


Job Objective:



  • Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices

  • Perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage accountants

  • Manage tax audits and tax returns

  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance

  • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures/Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation

  • Plan, assign and review staff's work

  • Primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules

  • Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy

  • Training and mentoring junior staff

  • Reconciliations including general Ledger and balance Sheet

  • Processing of accruals, prepayments and subsequent journals

  • Managing inter-company transactions and their reconciliation

  • Cost reporting

  • Approving journals

  • Project profitability review (PC\PR)

  • Financial forecasting for the region


Required Skills/Abilities:



  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member and a diverse group of people

  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

  • Sound understanding of accounting principles


Education and Experience:



  • Accounting/Finance graduate, preferably a certified Chartered Accountant/ACCA

  • Atleast ‎5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience upto finalization of accounts
