Job Overview:
The incumbent serves as the protocol assistant for U.S. Consulate General
Dubai. The incumbent advises the Consul General, senior staff, and other Post
officials in a variety of protocol-related matters such as providing protocol
guidance, acting as a protocol liaison, and setting up appointments and
meetings with top government and private sector officials in Dubai and the
Northern Emirates, including rulers and ruling families, ministers, and heads
of organizations. Serves as the Consulate General 's main point of contact for
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director's Office, Deputy Director, and
Protocol Department in Dubai as well as the protocol departments of the royal
courts in Dubai and the five Northern Emirates governments. Develops and
maintains a large network of contacts with office directors in all government
offices in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Collaborates closely with Abu
Dhabi counterparts on Ambassador's engagements in the Consular district,
providing guidance as needed. Coordinates protocol arrangements for all
Mission VIP visits to the Dubai consular district, including Congressional
Delegations (CODELs). As required, accompanies the Consul General and senior
American officials to meetings. Arranges and supervises representational
events.
Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in administrative work or providing protocol
support for official visitors, ceremonies, conferences, and special events
management is required.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in the field of , Political, Business
administration/management, international studies or related major is required
