• The Security Supervisor is in charge, with the supervision of the Security Manager, of overseeing the overall operation of the security department in the protection of the hotel, the guests and the employees. To ensure guest and employee safety in accordance with operational standards & relevant legislation.


• All Security incidents and/or investigations are handled to The ME Dubai standard.


• All facts surrounding security incidents and /or investigations are accurately and concisely recorded and collated.


• Inquiries and visitors arriving at the staff entrance are appropriately handled and those visitors adhere to the Visitors policy.


• All employees are issued with an Access Control card.


• The CCTV system is actively monitored, checked to be working effectively, and maintained and fully compliant with the Data Protection Act regarding CCTV.


• A proactive presence is maintained by all Officers throughout the Hotel, particularly in public areas


• Any items being removed from the Hotel are checked, pass-outs are processed correctly, with any discrepancies referred and/or any items withheld as deemed appropriate.


• Guest Key System activity is monitored, and concerns investigated.


• All Master, Sub-Master keys are issued to the relevant Heads of Department, and those records of these are maintained.


• Daily issue keys are received, and recorded according to policy.


• All employees must be randomly searched upon exit.


• Registration Forms are randomly checked ensuring adherence to the Immigration (Hotel Records)


• Guest problems concerning the use of room safes are handled and resolved as laid down in policy.


• To patrol all floors a minimum of four patrols per shift or as directed by the Security Manager.


• To assist in escorting any undesirable off the premises, using laid down procedure.


• To initiate investigations or where appropriate to personally carry out an investigation ensuring


• Clear, concise, and factual records are taken and communicated to the Hotel Manager and Security Manager.


• To assist in the coordination and protection of visiting VIPs, Royalty, and Government Ministers, liaising closely with the Police and other agencies as required.


• Responsible for ensuring the safe and correct usage of all Security equipment and materials.


• To ensure that random searches of bags, lockers, and employees are conducted in accordance with policy.


• Monies and other items of value will be placed in this person's care and the Departments care for safekeeping.


• To be fully conversant in the use of the Guest key/Security systems.


• To manage, maintain, and authorise access to all room safes, including the use of Audit computer as per policy.


• If an accident should occur in the hotel ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and distributed accordingly.


• To ensure that relevant courses are attended relating to health and safety and first aid as required.


• To assist in fire drills and fire alarm tests and in fire training of staff and to carry out spot checks of firefighting equipment and report any defects. To ensure that fire regulations are not breached


• To become familiar with the location of firefighting and first aid equipment.


• To carry out regular Patrols and report any health and safety hazards.


• The CCTV digital system to be checked and recording in working order.


• The Security Office is kept clean, neat and tidy reflecting a professional image to all staff, and visitors.


• Administrative duties are carried out according to The ME Dubai standard. This includes maintaining accurate logs, records and notebooks.


• The Police and other Government Agencies are assisted with inquiries and whilst on Hotel premises.
