The Role
The Data Entry Officer is responsible for inputting and managing data within
digital databases. This role involves accurately transferring data from
various sources into digital spreadsheets, updating and verifying existing
records, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. In addition, The
Administrative Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive
administrative support to the department and ensuring the efficient operation
of the department. This role involves managing information, handling
correspondence, and performing various administrative tasks to contribute to
the smooth functioning of the department. 1. Create Spreadsheets: Develop and
maintain spreadsheets to track important employee information, project data,
or other relevant information as required. 2. Data Entry: Transfer data from
hard copies or other sources to digital databases, ensuring accuracy and
completeness. 3. Database Management: Update employee information and other
relevant records within the database and make necessary changes to outdated or
incorrect data. 4. Data Organization: Organize existing data in spreadsheets
or other digital formats for easy access and retrieval. 5. Document Scanning
and Printing: Operate office equipment such as scanners and printers to
digitize or reproduce documents as needed. 6. Information Retrieval: Search
for and investigate information contained in files or databases to fulfill
specific requests or inquiries. 7. Database Backup: Perform regular backups of
databases to ensure data security and prevent loss. 8. Data Validation: Review
data for deficiencies, errors, or inconsistencies, and take appropriate
corrective actions. 9. Administrative Support: Provide occasional
administrative support, such as document sorting, organizing, or filing, as
needed. 10. Special Projects: Assist with special projects that require a
significant amount of data entry or data management. 11. Interdepartmental
Support: Provide data entry support to other departments as required on an ad-
hoc basis. 12. ERP and Business Management Support: Provide support for the
implementation and ongoing maintenance of new ERP and business management
solutions. 13. Related Assignments: Perform any other duties as assigned by
the organization that is within the scope of the Administrative Officer role
and contributes to the overall objectives of the department and company.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: - High school degree or equivalent. Minimum
Experience: - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Officer role
Skills: - Proven experience as a data entry clerk. - Fast typing skills:
Knowledge of touch-typing systems is strongly preferred. - Excellent knowledge
of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.). -
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral
devices. - Basic understanding of databases. - Good command of English, both
oral and written and communication skills. - Great attention to detail.
