Commis III (Male)

A Commis III affects every Guest experience through food production and food
presentation at our restaurants, bars, room service, banquets, and in-hotel
cafes.

What will I be doing?
Duties & Key Responsibilities
* Execute duties as assigned by the Chef F&B;, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie (Sr. Line Chef) or GM
* Be a reliable, motivated member of the team and demonstrate Hilton Garden Inn brand behaviours at all times
* Organise the 'work area' to be able to deliver the pre-service and service tasks effectively & efficiently, to the required standard, and in line with HACCP standards
* Constantly maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area
* Understand the specifications of the dishes we sell, their price, and the processes designed to present them to our customer
* Ensure that all is 'en place' in sufficient time and that the work area contributes consistently to a highly effective service session.
* Prepare hot and cold food menu items during the assigned shift
* Visually check food quality and food presentation as instructed by the Line Managers
* Personally deliver some of the prepared orders to guests and actively ask for feedback
* Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required
* Participate positively in pre and post shift briefs and hotel team huddles and apply learning the next day
* Communicate clearly and constructively between the F&B; service team, culinary & stewarding colleagues to help deliver great brand unique guest experiences in our F&B; outlet
* Provide constructive suggestions to the F&B; management team on product, menu or processes to continuously improve the experience of our guests in all our F&B; outlets incl. room service
* Be a role model for others in regards to passionate, friendly brand-unique hosting
