About the role
A hotel electrician is a specialized maintenance professional responsible for
handling electrical systems and equipment within a the property. Their primary
role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical
installations to provide a comfortable and secure environment for guests and
staff.

Main Responsibilities
* Electrical System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of the hotel's electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, distribution panels, and lighting fixtures.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions, and promptly address any electrical problems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
* Repairs and Upgrades: Carry out repairs or replacements of faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and fuses. Additionally, they may be involved in upgrading electrical systems to meet safety codes and energy efficiency standards.
* Installation: Install new electrical equipment and fixtures, such as lights, fans, electrical outlets, and appliances, as needed by the hotel's renovation or expansion projects.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure that all electrical systems meet local and national safety codes and regulations. Implement safety measures to prevent electrical hazards and accidents.
* Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty to respond to emergency electrical situations, such as power outages or electrical equipment failures, and rectify them promptly.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate electrical work with ongoing repairs and construction projects.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and upgrades performed, including any required documentation for compliance purposes.
* Energy Management: Implement energy-saving initiatives and recommend energy-efficient solutions to reduce the hotel's energy consumption.
* Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to other maintenance personnel or non-electrical staff on electrical safety procedures and basic troubleshooting.
* Vendor Management: Liaise with electrical equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services for repairs and installations.
* Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical technology, regulations, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and safety of electrical systems in the hotel.
