DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | *About the role
Our company is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable L2 IT Support Engineer to
join our dynamic team. As a system Administrator - IT, you will be responsible
for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving IT
issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal
candidate should have a strong background in SQL and possess scripting skills
to automate processes and enhance efficiency.
As a System Administrator - IT , you will:
* Provide second-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues in a timely manner.
* Diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems, both remotely and on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
* Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues that cannot be resolved at the L1 level.
* Maintain accurate documentation of all reported issues, actions taken, and resolutions provided.
* Administer and support IT systems, business applications, and network infrastructure, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
* Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to retrieve and manipulate data, troubleshoot data-related issues, and optimize database performance.
* Automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes through scripting, using languages such as ASP, PHP, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
* Collaborate with software development teams to identify, analyze, and resolve system issues that may require SQL queries or scripting expertise.
* Assist in the implementation of IT projects, including software upgrades, migrations, and system deployments.
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to IT support and database management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE** | About you*
The ideal System Administrator - IT :
* Will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in an L2 IT support role, handling a wide range of technical issues.
* Strong knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot data-related problems.
* Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency.
* Familiarity with IT service management processes and tools, such as incident management, problem management, and ticketing systems.
