Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Site Inspector to join
our team! In this role you will conducts inspections to determine if work has
been done in accordance with contract specifications and may include any of
the following:
What You'll Be Doing:
* Performs inspections/surveillances based on training received.
* Implements inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.
* Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results and reports inspection, examination and testing results.
* Performs and documents inspections of subcontractor work.
* Oversees subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor work. Reviews and audits subcontractor generated quality records.
* Ensures compliance to HSE requirements applicable for their work scope.
* Documents and communicates inspection results in a clear and concise manner.
* Understands contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.
* Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
* Maintain a detailed diary of the day's work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labour and equipment used, etc. and sign at the end of each day.
* Attend to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
* Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works.
* Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
* Ensure site progress information is communicated regularly.
* Perform all other duties that may be requested by team leadership
* Coordinate the works to ensure successful hand-over of the project
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or
a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required. Also
requires typically 5+ years of related experience on field projects, as well
as formal certification from an independent organization, depending on type of
inspection assignment. Some knowledge of public works contracts may be
preferred. Construction safety training including OSHA 10 hour training.
