Financial Controller

LVMH Beauty Middle East & Africa manages ‎8 different brands including Parfums
Christian Dior, Make Up for Ever, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loewe, Acqua Di Parma,
Guerlain and Benefit Cosmetics.
Make Up For Ever is looking for its next financial superstar based in Dubai,
reporting directly to Finance Manager and working closely with Regional, HQ
and BPC teams.

The Financial controller will be accountable for all P&L entries and will be
an essential business partner to Management as well as Regional Commercial &
Marketing teams by providing the necessary analysis and suggestions.

• Ensure accurate monthly financial closings within HQ deadlines including Sales, Full P&L, BS and CF for all MEA legal entities


• Calculate accruals compliant with standard accounting rules (IFRS/Group) and liaise with accounting so all required entries are booked in a timely manner


• Ensure that LVMH standards & internal control guidelines are respected


• System reconciliations between Oracle and BI, investigate discrepancies and inconsistencies


• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reportings and dashboards to HQ & internal management by providing In-depth variance analysis and rolling forecast visibility on risks and opportunities


• Sales & GM in depth analysis: identify risks and opportunities by market by channel and by SKU


• Trade, Communication and Capex follow-up: perform monthly consolidation + analysis of A&P expenses to compare vs Budget. Prepare and analyze launch animation return on investment


• BC Staff cost: perform monthly consolidation and variance analysis and liaise with Commercial department in case of drift. Conduct analysis on profitability by country and by door, liaise with Commercial department in case of drift


• T&E: claim approval and analysis of T&E spend evolution by employee, department and periodically


• Contribute to ad hoc scenario modelling to HQ, Management, Commercial and Marketing teams


• Focus on constant improvement and automation of processes, reports and files
  **Budgets:
  The Financial controller will be a key player on Budget, Revision and Strat
  Plan preparations.


• Lead the template preparation and data collection of required inputs to build the P&L and BS


• Challenge and validate scenarios with department managers and support Finance Manager to evaluate the proposed equation


• Support decision making by preparing insightful analysis for new potential openings


• Liaise with Headquarters to ensure all financial and operational data is submitted and all relevant assumptions are properly shared & explained within the given timeline

Profile

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance & Controlling, and a minimum of ‎5 years of strong professional experience in FP&A or controlling


• Fluent in English, French or/ Arabic a plus


• Excel expert, big data mentality and system savvy. Knowledge of SyRUS, SQL or accounting/financials applications is a plus


• Analytical, detail oriented, committed to accuracy and capable to handle multiple priorities while respecting deadlines


• Hands-on, self-starter and problem solver


• Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing, pressured and fast-paced environment
