What you'll be doing
* As an analyst, you will have day ‎1 access to founders and CEOs and will support all aspects of the deal lifecycle including pre-investment analysis and post-investment monitoring
* Conduct due diligence for new investments such as financial, commercial and product due diligence.
* Preparation of investment memos
* Help manage and monitor existing investments, working closely with portfolio company management teams to ensure successful execution of business plans, sharing of best practices, and strict governance controls
* Compile periodic performance data and perform portfolio analysis, valuation, and benchmarking
* Prepare quarterly and annual reporting documents
* Build external networks with fund managers and industry professionals to support deal sourcing
* Establish and nurture internal networks across the greater company to ensure successful investments that deliver long-term value creation to the Chalhoub Group
What you 'll need to succeed
* Excellent Communication Skills
* Outstanding academics from a top-tier university. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, computer or data science, mathematics or physics
* CFA certification a plus
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
* ‎1-‎3 years of relevant experience which could include; PE/VC, investment banking, corporate finance, consulting - investment experience not necessary but a plus
* Strong financial acumen including ability to analyse and understand financial statements including P&L, Cash flow and balance sheet
* Strong modelling skills essential
* Keen interest in fashion, beauty, ecommerce and retail technology as well as the VC/PE market
* An excellent command of English - a second language is not a requirement but would be useful
* Ability to integrate quickly into a dynamic team
* Entrepreneurial work ethic; high quality work output essential
