Job Description :
Diageo Global Travel brings Diageo's international portfolio of alcoholic and
non-alcoholic brands to consumers in travel retail. Travel retail represents
the unique shopping spaces and duty free options active in airports and
dedicated duty free sites all over the world. Global Travel also serves the
airline and cruise ship community for on board purchases and in bar
experiences. The business brings exclusive brand extensions and limited
editions to travellers as well as in-airport experiences including luxury shop
in shops and immersive pop-ups.


Global Travel is a brand building marketplace, with a consumer in a different
mindset, captive, shopping with a different lens to the ordinary. A showcase
opportunity enabling brands like Johnnie Walker to reach the No.‎1 whisky spot
and our single malts to become the rare liquid gift or treat for shoppers in
transit. Travel Retail is the home of gifting Gifts for self and others, for
holiday moments, festive occasions and souvenirs with a sense of occasion and
place.


We have recently redefined our ambition and strategy and are designing a
future for our business where we lead the Total Beverage Alcohol category to
become the most dynamic and fastest growing category in Global Travel, while
accelerating Diageo to become the number one partner for our customers,
through luxury brand building underpinned by our scale. We will do this by
reaching more travellers, converting more of them to purchase both in store
and online and thirdly increasing the value of their spend.

Context/Scope:
The Account Executive role in MENA will have the main responsibility of
running the end to end process together with Account Managers for Travel
Retail and Domestic Market.
This is a hybrid role, involved in developing our standards in Travel Retail
with each account manager of the region as well as having the opportunity to
do the same in the unique local Market of UAE.
You will ensure our standards are being delivered in terms of promotions and
activations, as well as an end-to-end management of innovation. Understanding
the opportunities in the market, timelines to launch, price gaps,
communication with customer and distributors (in partnership with AMs) and
accurate evaluation of the innovation performance will be key.
Engaging & managing customer relationships will be a driver to success.
Candidate must have experience & capability to recognise the levers to
increase Diageo share on a profitable and sustainable way.
Market Complexity
The role requires the Account Executive to live by the Diageo Leadership
Standards every day in order to manage a fast-moving multi-cultural business.
The business operates within a very ambiguous environment with complex market
conditions, customers & consumers and this role will be extremely important to
be connected with Account Managers and ensure the business is in the right
direction and maximizing every opportunity.
Top Accountabilities
* Great forecasting skills, across all metrics: depletions, shipments, stocks control and budget as Trade Spend & A&P
* Regular audits & reviews of distributor customer performance vs. the agreed commercial scorecard/JBP.
* Holding the customers to account & agreeing action plans to close the gaps together with the Account Manager
* Analysing promotional strategies and deriving insights from the data to determine future activity
* Partnering with Customer Marketing & Commercial to deliver against the activation plans within the customer and interpreting the return on investment associated with the execution (M&ES) ; ensuring we continue to optimise our A&P and TS investment
* Leading the innovation/NPD agend.
* Accurate and timely approval of rebates, invoice claims and deductions
* Build trade plans that delight our local consumers at the POP and to deliver category growth and increasing Diageo share
* Ensure complete compliance & governance for all projects is in place & relevant SOAs/Policies adhered to without question
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Previous experience in Commercial/Sales, preferably within an FMCG company and/or and international role
* Fluent in English
* Ability to generate and interpret consumer insights.
* Highly analytical and data literate
* Ability to understand and evaluate the profit impact of actions.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
* Naturally inquisitive, self-motivated and results oriented
