Job Description
To coordinate, assist and support the Financial Controller, Middle East in
carrying out the accounting, reporting, auditing, tax and compliance
activities for John Crane Middle East FZE, in a systematic, cohesive and
timely manner to support the achievements of our common functional and
business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Monthly accounting and submission of reports for the Sub Saharan Africa export business (COY 222)
* Processing transactions and cost center reporting for the Middle East branch office in South Africa
* Coordinating with the South Africa branch consultant for submission of various branch returns associated with payroll, VAT, WHT and CIT as applicable
* Coordinating with the South Africa branch consultant for submission of branch accounting analysis and reports to regulatory authorities
* Ad hoc Internal Reporting (Weekly O&S, Debtors Review and Reporting)
* MCDR and cash reporting, management of the new Standard Bank account of the Middle East branch office in South Africa
* Sales invoice upload to E-invoicing Tax portal as applicable
* Support with External Statutory Audit
* Support / Participation in Internal Audit
* Monthly minimum controls assigned specifically as preparer in certain areas
* Liaise and problem solving with SSC during transition period and support areas that will remain with the business
* Provide assistance to the Financial Controller in the month close, Budget/Forecast exercise
* General Ledger entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations to support month close and monthly financial submissions
* Act as a relief/support to the Middle East head office accounting area as and when assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education/Training:
* Bachelors / Masters Degree in Accounting
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an advantage
Knowledge/Skills:
* SAP Knowledge or similar ERP Knowledge preferred
* Advance knowledge in Finance software applications, databases and spreadsheets
Supervises:
* Individual contributor
Languages:
* Fluent in English, Arabic an advantage
