Summer Vacation Scheme 2023

Eligibility

Our Summer Vacation Scheme will take place between the 12th - 23rd June ‎2023
across our UAE offices and is open to students and recent graduates who would
be able to commence a ‎2-year training contract in ‎2026/‎7.
For exceptional students the Vacation Scheme may lead to an interview for a
Middle East Training Contract.
This is a paid scheme and applications are open to students/graduates
globally. Where required, flights and accommodation will be provided.
Please be aware that we will only review your application form. If you upload
your CV, this will pre-populate some of your application however your CV will
not be reviewed.
Please do NOT upload a covering letter as this will not be reviewed.

Responsibilities

Our ‎2-week Vacation Scheme is designed to offer outstanding opportunities for
you to experience what a career at Clifford Chance involves. You'll gain
insights into our exciting, stimulating, and challenging work. You will be
close to the action and will have the opportunity to work with experienced
lawyers in two of our practice areas - Corporate, Global Financial Markets,
Litigation, Debt Capital Markets, Real Estate and, Projects & Construction.
You will have the opportunity to work on live deals, do pro-bono work and,
attend office-wide socials. It really is a unique learning experience.
Throughout the scheme, you will also receive the support of a supervising
associate and trainee 'buddy' who will help guide you and will be someone who
you can turn to at any stage. The expectation will be for you to be eager to
learn, ask questions, and immerse yourself as much as possible. There will be
many opportunities for networking and socialising with CC employees in our
Middle East offices and you are encouraged to make the most of these and your
time with us.
Experience and Skills

We're looking for graduates who are genuinely interested in the law and
committed to a career in the Middle East. Candidates with strong ties to the
region and fluent Arabic skills are preferred for our ME Vacation Scheme.
You do not need to have prior legal experience or a law degree to apply to us.
As our Vacation Scheme may lead to a Training Contract, we will expect you to
be a problem-solver with strong communication skills and commercial acumen.

The Application Process

Applications are open now and close at MIDNIGHT on the 3rd of April ‎2023(GST).
We do not recruit on a rolling basis and we do not review applications until
after the deadline has passed.
We will only review the information on your application form at the point of
submission - any changes made after this will not be taken into consideration
so please refrain from making any changes after you have submitted.
Once we have screened the applications, those who have been successful will be
sent an automated video link interview to complete by the 13th of April . As
the final round of the screening process, candidates who have been successful
in the video interview will be invited to attend a virtual interview with two
members of our legal team during the week commencing 1st of May ‎2023
The Vacation Scheme will take place in our Dubai and Abu Dhabi office between
the 12th - 23rd June ‎2023.
