Assists in medical physics procedures. These may include treatment planning
for patients undergoing radiation therapy and quality assurance procedures
1. Prepares phantoms and materials for quality assurance studies of nuclear
medicine, CT, ultrasound, diagnostic radiology equipment , radiation therapy
equipment , etc.
2. Performs quality assurance protocols for diagnostic therapeutic and
scientific equipment.
3. Participates in selected research studies under the direction of a Medical
Physicist.
4. Performs manual or computer calculations for radiotherapy patients.
5. Fabricates special physics equipment and devices as directed.
6. Performs other activities as directed by the medical physics staff.
7. Participates in Department/ Unit specific and Hospital wide quality
improvement plan preferred.
8. Participates in self and other's education, training and development as
applicable.
9. Follows all KFSH&RC related policies and procedures.
10. Participates in other related duties as appropriate.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics, Physics or related
discipline
Three (3) years of related scientific experience required with Bachelor's
degree . Six (6) months experience under the Saudi Career Development Program
(SCDP) or one (1) year experience with Master's degree . Some experience in
electronics and/or computer programming is desirable
