Due to climate change and other environmental stressors, coral reefs are under
increasing threat around the world. Coral restoration can play a key role in
helping reefs recover from damage. We are seeking an Environmental Impact
Consultant to work with global research and implementation leader in the
science of the Red Sea Ecosystems and more specifically in the protection and
preservation of coral reef ecosystems.
Based on the institute's campus in KSA, this exciting ‎6-month fixed term
contract opportunity will see you operate in a Client Representative capacity
working with the University's team helping to drive and plan the development
of one of the world's largest Coral Reef Nurseries with the potential to
reshape coral reef restoration globally. You will be working within a
Framework agreement helping to Project Manage Environmental Impact Assessments
(EIA's) for both onshore and offshore Reefscape/nurseries.
Here 's What You'll Need:


Suitable applicants will be degree qualified or preferably post-graduate
(Masters) level in a relevant environmental sciences or environmental
engineering discipline and will be competent in EIA management experience.
Prior working experience in the environmental sector in the GCC region, with
an understanding of GCC and wider MENA countries environmental laws and
guidance and working relationships with local regulators is preferred. You
will have a broad understanding of all environmental disciplines which are
considered in the EIA process however specialization in a specific discipline
will be very highly regarded. Key areas of interest include but are not
limited to marine ecology, waste management, sustainability, contaminated land
etc.
This is a ‎6-month minimum duration contract with the opportunity to extend.
Flights will be provided to assist with rotational trips back home.
