Job purpose statement
* Manage operations Team activities
Scope
* Team leader for operations teams on day to day basis.
* Activities as described in service contract.
* Short communication to the shifts.
* Is able to speak the language on the work floor and to translate this to higher management.
* First point of contact to airport management
Qualifications and abilities
* Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering
* Minimal 5 years' experience in operations or facility management or electromechanical fields.
* Minimal 2 years team leader experience.
* Team builder.
* Read and write the English and local language.
* Proper communication capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
* The link between control room and terminal operations control
* Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are executed properly and in time.
* Plan Operations activities on day to day basis.
* Reporting performance on daily basis.
* Available to the engineers to advice and support.
* Communicate observations to relevant stakeholders.
* Take lead role in training and familiarization of less experiences Employees.
* Take ownership to ensure that area is clean and hazard free.
* Manage and co-ordinate the management of third party interests when undertaking specialist operations, maintenance or repair activities on their shift.
* Responsible for the contractors permit to work and sign offs.
* Isolating activities to ensure that work can be carried out safely for all parties (maintenance engineers and third parties).

* Improves departmental processes based on an analysis and taking into account change management.
* Single point of contact for all operational stakeholders on customer level.
* Implements new procedures and takes care of knowledge transfer.
* Anticipates problems, which disturb the daily operation.
* Identifies recurring problems and has a major contribution in creating and implementing an improvement plan.
* Ensures all maintenance activities are executed properly and in time in a large and complex environment.
* Manages and coaches other Shift Leaders.
