About the role


The role of the Transport Coordinator will primarily revolve around the
arranging and booking of freight movement 's in and out of the plant. This
role assumes responsibility for the management of the Courier System as well
as the site Freight system and ensuring that export documentation is accurate.
The successful candidate will work closely with the other Shipping team
members as well as being responsive to the needs of other site departments,
mainly Production, Customer Care and site Supply Chain.


Key responsibilities



  • Liaise with Supply Planner and Customer Care team to support customer orders

  • Liaise with Production Planner to ensure inventory sufficient for delivery

  • Liaise with Warehouse for the issuing of shipping documents, finished goods transfer, monitoring the processing of container loading and dispatch from system

  • Liaise with freight forwarder for the movement of containers; provide shipping documents (Delivery note, commercial Invoice) for shipment

  • Coordinate with Quality for COA (Certificate of Analysis) as per shipment require and ensure stock release update in system by quality

  • Creation and changes of delivery note, commercial invoice, entry of shipment cost, not billed report on daily, weekly & month end closing

  • Liaise with transporter for truck booking

  • Generate shipment completion report


Qualifications and skills



  • Recognised Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent

  • Minimum ‎1-‎2 years' working experience in logistics / shipping / export function

  • Good command of English

  • Good working knowledge of ERP and MS Office application skills. Experience in SAP PP module will be recommended.

  • Possess strong planning and analytical skills and be able to take complex issues and break down actions for resolutions and working with tight deadlines

  • A solid communicator who can build strong relations and is not afraid to challenge decisions when see better alternatives or potential pitfalls

  • Possess strong business acumen with deep Operational insight as well as an open nature and collaborative mind-set that enable working cohesively with people from different functions and levels

  • A motivated and driven individual with the core competencies required to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment

  • Good problem solving and decision-making ability to enhance workflow efficiencies and effectiveness
