Job Summary:
Lead and manage a dynamic team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of
shipments between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Maintain regular and effective communication with brokers and freight
forwarders to address any issues or concerns related to shipments.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
* Lead and manage a diverse team to ensure the optimal productivity and compliance of shipments between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
* Maintain regular and proactive communication with brokers and freight forwarders to diligently address all matters pertaining to shipments.
* Foster effective collaboration and seamless alignment with peers and teams in the United States to ensure the highest level of operational excellence.
* Continuously monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure adherence to productivity targets and compliance with regulations throughout the shipment process.
* Implement robust quality control measures to guarantee flawless execution and minimize shipment errors.
* Ensure timely follow-up with brokers and freight forwarders to resolve any shipments-related issues or concerns.
* Engage in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives to optimize shipping operations and drive cost-effectiveness.
* Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance and enhance shipping operations.
* Provide comprehensive guidance, support, and training to team members to foster their professional development and enhance their performance.
* Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications You Must Have:
* Typically requires a University Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, r equivalent experience and a minimum of ‎2 years prior relevant experience.
* Proven experience in managing shipping operations, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with brokers, freight forwarders, and peers.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the capability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize shipping processes.
