Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Land Surveyor to join our
team! In this role you will be responsible for the land survey works,
measurements, and calculations in various construction and engineering
projects..
What You'll Be Doing:
* Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations
* Check setting-out and levels.
* Conduct construction survey layout.
* Complete topographical surveys for as-built and quantities.
* Employing and operating specialized equipment such as GNSS, Levelling, Robotic Total Station, etc.
* Performing mathematical calculations to determine and confirm surveying measurements.
* Assist the Survey Supervisor and Chief Crew Surveyor in day-to-day onsite activities.
* Able to work in solo surveys.
* Notify the Survey Supervisor of any non-conformance.
* Ensure standards, procedures, and specifications are being met within Survey.
* Ensure all Survey requests are issued on time and in accordance with RC Procedures.
* Perform field tasks assigned by Royal Commission and/or Department Manager.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
* Technical diploma in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in land surveying and setting-out of works of similar nature
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
* Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors and GNSS equipment.
* Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures of the industry.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate competently in English.
