- Installing and upgrading company servers and applications
- Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
- Modifying the database structure, as necessary, and
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
- Maintaining system reliability, i.e. uptime kept to the maximum through system monitoring, data back-ups and regular hardware/software maintenance,
- Ensuring all systems and networks are always available.
- Administration of the servers, databases and networks.
- Maintaining all IT systems (hardware, software and networking systems)
Skills
Qualification:
* University graduate/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
* Strong technical knowledge: system monitoring and automation, data back-up and regular hardware/software maintenance
* Basic Training in systems administration, DBA
Minimum Experience:
At least 3 years of related professional experience, preferably in a power
plant or manufacturing environment
