DETAILS:
For September ‎2023 we are seeking a successful SEN Senior Teacher in the
Green Unit School who should be able to teach all areas of the KS2 & KS3
curriculum. The teacher we are looking to hire should be committed to
achieving high academic standards and creating a stimulating and positive
classroom ethos.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor 's Degree BEd, BA
* Qualified teacher status (QTS), preferably having experience working in international private schools abroad & having knowledge of the English National Curriculum
* Having experience teaching SEN students
* Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS2 & KS3
* Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level
* Good level of ICT skills - Google certified (preferably having Google Educator Level ‎1 certificate)

The senior teacher is expected to:
* Support the school's policies and implement the school's philosophy/vision and objectives.
* Teach all areas of the KS2 & KS3 curriculum.
* Take responsibility for the progress of a class of ‎12-‎14 years age SEN pupils.
* Organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
* Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
* Differentiate work and address students' individual needs.
* Work with colleagues to plan and coordinate work - this includes working with support staff.
* Use keen observation skills ( summative-formative assessment) to assess each student, set individual targets and track progress.
* Manage behaviour effectively and possess good experience in implementing behaviour plans and strategies.
* Conduct extra-curricular activities like supporting school concerts, achievement ceremonies, sports days, excursions and field trips.
* Inform parents of student's progress through report cards and, where necessary, letters or individual meetings.
* Be available for all parent-teacher conferences.
* Attend all relevant meetings, including curriculum & planning meetings.
* Continuously work on professional development.
