We are currently seeking a Lead Design Engineer Piping, reporting directly to
the Engineering Manager to join the team based in Zour, KIPIC.
About the role we are looking for:
Mechanical Engineer, preferably, with experience both in design office and on
construction site. Experience gained in Piping Design Engineering and
Construction of process and utility piping systems for refinery,
petrochemical, Oil & Gas and chemical plants.
Mandatory requirements:
* Good industry code understanding (ASME B 31.3, ANSI, API, BS, other International Design Codes and Major Oil Company norms & practices, etc.)
* FEED and detailed engineering design experience of piping systems according to piping codes and international design standards
* Good understanding and interpretation of P&IDs and capacity to contribute in P&ID development
* Design of plot plans, equipment and piping layouts / arrangements
* Well versed in piping flexibility, piping supports and stress analysis
* Experience in estimations and preparation of ITBs, MTOs
* Ability to produce isometric drawings either from 3D model software or from P&IDs and Plot Plans/Layouts
* Experience supervising and checking the 3D modeling activities
* Excellent communications skills and interaction with other disciplines, client and subcontractors
* Ability to check PFDs, P&IDs, MSDs, GA drawings
* Experience in HSE, PIPING & Constructability Review actions resolution
* Advantageous:
* Field surveying experience for construction
* Construction experience
* PMC experience
* Experience in resolving technical queries and site related problems
* Software knowledge:
* 2D cadding and drafting (AutoCAD)
* 3D Model (PDMS, Microstation, etc.)
* Stress Analysis (Caesar 3 or equivalent)
* MS Office proficiency
* Ability to carry out design and drafting assignments using a methodical approach and systematic self-checking skills with minimal supervision
* Checks designs and drawings of design team for accuracy and conformity to technical specifications and procedures
* Promote alternative solutions for piping / layout design to reduce weight, implantation footprint, complexity and optimize onshore work
* Experience evaluating vendor's proposals and bid documents

* 5 years minimum in the related designation / speciality in years.
Experiences in CAD, 3D modelling and MS Office proficiency is required.
