Spinwell Global is URGENTLY looking to recruit a Director of Nursing for a
prestigious private hospital who provides world-class medical services in
acute care, general medical/surgical.
The Director of Nursing shall be responsible for strategic planning and
setting direction of the department and ensuring operational excellence. The
DON has Board level responsibility for professional nursing and all other
staff under her department and provides strong leadership across these
professions, encouraging innovation, creativity and strategic thinking about
service provision. This position will perform in accordance with overall
hospital policies, accepted professional and medical ethics standards.
Your role will include but not limited to:
* Actively contributes to the hospital vision and mission
* Is aware of hospital/department/individual balance score card and works towards achieving them
* Actively participates in hospital wellbeing practices and hospital/departmental meditation sessions
* Is aware of infection control practices, fire safety, safety and risk management programs and policies of the hospital
* Participates in the development of the department Strategic plan, goals and objectives in conformance with the overall strategic plan of the hospital
* Leads and manages the Nursing, Homecare, CSSD, Laundry and Transportation departments. Ensures all departments deliver high standard of services.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care through Clinical Governance:
* Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of Nursing Care Plans, Required Organizational Practices (ROPs), Patient Safety Initiatives, Risk assessment/management, clinical audit and compliance with Accreditation standards
* Responsible for development, implementation and overseeing of departmental policies and monitoring the implementation of hospital/departmental policies and processes
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
* Master/Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing. Holds valid licensure in country of origin and licensed to practice in Kuwait.
* Minimum of twelve to fifteen years of Nursing experience and at least five years' experience in a supervisory / Head of Department role.
