I am incredibly proud to be exclusively representing a beautiful fine
jewellery brand who are looking for a Store Director to join the business in
the location of Kuwait.
Acting as the Ambassador of the brand, the Store Director is responsible for
inspiring and developing the store team to successfully reach quantitative and
qualitative targets.
I am looking for a strong leader who can collaborate with internal business
partners to drive all business initiatives. You will be a strategic thinker
who can solve problems, provide recommendations, and make decisions. You can
gather and challenge information from different sources to make clear and
impactful decisions in a timely manner. As the Store Director you will develop
strong business relationships externally and internally to gain support and
cooperation to drive the business forward.
Arabic speaking would be desirable however NOT a must.
Essential Duties :
Business and Sales Performance:
* Sales Budget Achievement
* Support the sales team in every capacity to achieve budget.
* Analyse and monitor store KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to implement action plans to achieve target KPIs
* Maximize the business potential of the market.
* At the start of the year, propose a store strategy to the VP of Retail to meet all store goals and objectives. Strategy to be refreshed quarterly.
* Develop a business plan and coordinate execution and implementation cross-functionally with each department's support
* Identify opportunities to improve performance. Work with corporate business partners to develop strategies to raise performance
* Manage personnel costs keeping in line with the set budget/forecast given by Human Resources
* Control discount activity to comply with policies
* Maximize sales by category
* Analyse performance by category and partner with the Merchandising team to validate the action plan in order to drive a positive and sustainable difference
* Possess a merchant-level product knowledge understanding
Team Leadership:
* Coach & Train direct reports
* Lead, coach, and motivate each direct report to perform at their highest potential
* Accountable for the growth and development of direct reports to prepare them for next-level roles
* Continuously monitor the execution of the brands selling ceremony to achieve the best quantitative and qualitative business results (i.e mystery shops)
* Constantly coach the sales team on how to deliver a unique and memorable shopping experience (client focus, storytelling, extraordinary service, selling skills, and attitude), observing the sales floor and providing feedback accordingly
* Attract, motivate & retain staff
* Work together with Talent Acquisition in recruiting members according to the brand vision and image
* Held accountable for final hiring decisions
* Manage performance review (PCR) and development plans for all direct reports. Address performance issues and create development plans.
* Ensure all staff receives monthly, quarterly, and annual feedback
* Ensure grooming, uniform, and behaviour standards of all store staff are being met
* Team Work & Communication
* Ensure behaviour reflects the brand and people values, showing pride, enthusiasm, commitment, and initiative
* Develop a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance
* Incorporates SMART goals
* Staff optimization vs business need
* Approve and monitor store schedules, ensuring adherence to handbook policies including blackout dates & overtime rules
* Ensure the integrity of payroll and the payroll process
* Responsible for the turnover rate of the store
* Ensure correct backup candidates in every location for unexpected situations
Store Operations
* Excellence in Store Experience and Image
* Optimize in front of house presence by managing a schedule of at least ‎70% of the time on the floor in the store and ‎30% focus on back-office activities
* Guarantee the implementation of the VM guidelines in accordance with the corporate VM Dept. ensuring the correct product display and in-store merchandising
* Ensure Appropriate Store Procedures
* Ensure retail operations procedures and best practices are being adhered to
* Well-versed in the Process and Procedure Manual
* Partner with Retail Operations to ensure adherence to lose prevention policies and procedures and proactively identify trends that support achieving all inventory goals.
* Remain up to date on all policies and procedures in the company Human Resources handbook as well as labor laws; both federal and state-specific
CRM and Market
* Clienteling
* Responsible for driving the in-store shift from walk-in customer outreach to meaningful client relationship building by supporting the development of a robust client development strategy
* Competitor Market Awareness
* Strictly monitor the luxury jewellery market performance, including product, price, promotions, and competitors' activities, and make suggestions to improve and enhance store performance
* Market Events and Initiatives
* Responsible to foster a relationship and direct line of communication with the mall manager and marketing team
* Develop a holistic marketplace strategy, identifying and recommending key partners to accelerate future growth and develop new relationships
* Actively participate and involve the sales team in social events
Key Competencies:
* Work experience in a luxury retail environment or working with luxury products
* Managerial experience with an emphasis on motivating and developing staff at various career levels
* Ability to leverage networks by cultivating key industry-related relationships as well as knowledge of local marketing and media
* Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions and put in place the proper business actions
* A sense of initiative
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Package:
* Salary: £‎70,000 annual/ ‎27,000 AED/ ‎2,255 KWD monthly TAX FREE
