Perform carpentry work, fabricate, install and repair wooden structures,
furniture.
1. Interpret verbal and written instructions and sketches.
2. Fabricate, install wooden framing and panels, shelves, partitions and
supports.
3. Install doors, windows, cabinets, black boards and similar equipment.
4. Inspect, repair and replace locks, door springs, window catches etc.
5. Fabricate cabinets, lockers, tables and other wooden equipment as per the
specifications/sketch.
6. Reconstruct or repair furniture and equipment and ensure high quality of
work.
7. Receive carpentry workshop orders and assigns work to shop staff.
8. Ensure execution of preventive maintenance duties of carpentry workshop.
9. Operate power tools/equipment and minimize wastage.
10. Select and recommend materials required for jobs and estimates time
required for execution.
11. Use all safety and health materials and tools.
