The Customs Brokerage Manager is responsible for the process and activities
for managing the governmental compliance and processing of the import filings
of goods into Kuwait.
Responsibilities
Ensure execution of the Air Freight strategy in line with the Country Manager
Drive effective and future-oriented resource planning within AF in line with
productivity targets
Manage the performance of the Air Freight team, coach and support the team
leaders as necessary, drive change management in the Air Freight organization
Monitor performance against annually agreed Product KPI’s and initiate
corrective actions.
Ensure strict adherence to the DSV Air and Sea Code of Conduct
Actively manage the Branch Air Freight Product P&L; by managing vendor cost
and by ensuring profitability in the day-to-day operations
Drive actions to maximize profit on file level and to eliminate loss-making
files
Overall responsibility for file maintenance; + profitability
Bring innovative ideas to the table to help drive the business forward
Ensure consistent achievement of operational standards to meet customer
requirements
Optimize and implement operational standards & guidelines and drive continuous
improvement of branch operations
Monitor operational performance (sub-contractors, productivity, quality of
service, data, incident handling) and initiate, implement and control
corrective actions; escalate when needed.
Evaluate and monitor operational risks, ensure contingency planning, and
implement corrective actions
Qualifications & Characteristics
Minimum ‎5 years of air freight experience
Minimum ‎3 years of management experience
College Graduate or equivalent
