Junior Piping Stress Engineer-Abudhabi
Minimum ‎5 years of experience working as piping stress analyst in
petrochemical and/ oil and gas industry
Proven leadership experience and lump sum projects experience
Strong stress analysis concepts and be able to solve critical stress and
nozzle load issues
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision and
work effectively as a team member on all assigments.
Familiar with the ASME, API and other industry related standards
Organized, motivated and team worker
Good communication and proactive capability for leading equipment development
under pressure, with limited resources and time
Main duties and responsibilities
- Perform the stress analysis of lines related to static and rotating
equipment, air coolers, heaters, etc by using Caesar II software
- Calculate and estimated piping loads on piping racks, structures, vessel´ s
platfforms. - Create the stress analysis isometrics including all required
data for support definition
- Calculate and select variable and constant spring hanger
- Knowledge of pipe support, including use of snubbers, rigid struds, spring
sway braces.
- Manage engineering vendors data
- Check piping stress loads on equipment´s nozzles
- Prepare Requisition for Inquiry/ Pruchase and Technical tabulation of
piping support elements, such as, springs, expansion joints, etc
- Prepare pipings stress analysis reports considering project specifications
Other responsibilities
- Report engineering status and progress
- Assist project managers in technical coordination with other engineering
disciplines and client
- Define the pipe support location, types of support, and support design
