About the job
Summary
Idera, Inc. brands deliver best-in-class B2B software tools for testing,
security, data management and application development. Idera is seeking an
experienced IT Systems Administrator to be responsible for the implementation
and operational support of all aspects of Idera’s physical and virtualized
infrastructure. This infrastructure supports servers, desktops, terminal
servers, networks, application virtualization and storage. A successful
candidate will possess a solid understanding of virtualization products,
various cloud platforms and networking fundamentals to be able to troubleshoot
and resolve software, hardware, network configuration and operational problems
across the IT infrastructure. Knowledge of multiple vendor technologies and
platforms, including VMware, Microsoft, IBM, AWS, GCP, Unix, iOS and Cisco, is
required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build, install, configure and maintain VMware products, including ESXi, across
cloud platforms including AWS, GCP and Azure
Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of the entire IT
infrastructure
Research the root cause of problems and collaborate across functions to
provide solutions
Develop, automate and implement IT operations best practices
Perform Capacity Management functions
Effectively collaborate with Server, Storage, Network, Data Center,
Facilities, Audit, Compliance, PMO, and DevOps teams
Proactively implement advanced maintenance and resolve issues related to
performance cloud environments
Troubleshoot common network protocols across various cloud platforms
Configure and maintain storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal availability,
performance and best practices
Manage problem and service tickets to ensure timely resolution and meet
internal service level agreements
Follow established enterprise change management procedures
Participate in Business Continuation and Disaster Recovery infrastructure
planning, building, and testing
Must have the ability to understand and relate to new products, technology,
strategy
Must be able to provide project management that includes planning,
documentation, meetings, conference calls and reporting.
Ability to conduct training sessions to share knowledge with peers and other
support teams is necessary
