Senior Actuarial Valuation Analyst
About the job
Primary Duties Performed:
IFRS 17 related activities (e.g. actuarial calculations review the
implementation guidelines, PAA eligibility testing, OCT, RA calculation, etc.)
Interact with the group in reserving valuation and reviewing/updating IFRS 17
policy decisions and related assumptions and methodologies
Reserving calculation and reviews of Appointed Actuary
Reinsurance reviews
Working on and understanding different LOBs including Life, Medical and P&C;.
Working with finance to discuss and analyze financial results
Working with multiple sources of data to identify and utilize most relevant
source to complete task.
Ensure overall data integrity. Draw together facts and input from a variety of
sources; make recommendations to management and related departments.
Support the senior management and the decision making process with Reserves,
Reinsurance and IFRS 17 policies of the company and its subsidiaries
Creates reports on company performance for management.
Participate in both formal and informal training sessions
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification & Experience Required:
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science / Mathematics.
At least 3 years of qualifying experience in a similar position.
Practical experience in IFRS 17 implementation.
