Junior Accountant
About the job
Job Summary:
Join a vibrant startup with 2 years in operation as our Junior Accountant. In
this role, you'll be a pivotal part of our finance team, handling a variety of
accounting tasks such as receivables & payables, general ledger management,
and more. This position is perfect for someone who values accuracy and
compliance and is ready to grow with a dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities:
-Timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in the company's ledgers.
-Efficient and precise reconciliation of financial transactions to supporting documents.
-Reporting directly to the Finance Manager for assigned tasks.
-Being an active team player, ready to assist across departments as needed.
-Upholding company policies and proactively resolving issues.
-Assisting with month-end close processes and collaborating with the finance team.
-Supporting the annual audit process, including preparation of financial statements.
-Verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving account discrepancies.
-Managing journal entries in the ERP system.
-Participating in periodic inventory and asset counts, and variance reporting.
Candidate Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
-At least 1 year of experience in a general accounting role, ideally in a startup environment.
-Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Strong communication skills in English and Arabic are a plus.
-Reliability, dedication, and willingness to work additional hours if needed.
-Openness to a dynamic role, including cross-departmental assistance.
