Hiring Core Power Engineer
• The primary responsibility of the position is to manage (operationally) the
data centers power infrastructure.
• Hold primary responsibility for the maintenance of data center power
equipment from the main switch through the rack level PDU including all
intermediate UPS’s, PDU’s, and switch gear.
• Collect and analyze data on various compute systems, maintain historical
records, and provide management with statistical analysis as requested.
• Support construction teams and contractors in execution of on-site work with
a focus on quality, speed, commissioning, issue mitigation, and adherence to
Google standards.
• Perform initialization tasks for IT equipment (mainly servers, switches, and
third-party equipment) according to the guide, such as management port
configuration, Raid, and initial configuration of the switch.
• Regular perform testing, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing.
• Update and record any change inside the computer room
• Continuous monitoring of temperature and humidity levels inside the core
room.
• Adherence to industry standards and Regular audits and inspections.
• Regular inspection and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and
networking equipment.
Qualifications:
• Electrical/Electronics and communication related education background having
2-3 years of work experience:
• Have experience of preventive maintenance of alarms panel, battery, HVAC,
UPS, RECTIFIER, FM200 firefighting system, fire alarm system, Battery system,
access & MSB panels.
• Monitor core site periodically (Air-condition, power supply, UPS, Batteries,
firefighting system, CCTV, door access system, general conditions,
temperature, humidity, dust, protection systems, etc.).
