Business Development Officer
About the job
The Marketing, Communications, and Business Development officer is a dynamic
and energetic professional. As MCBD officer you will strive to get and keep
clients, promote opportunities, market our services and promote the firm’s
image.
Responsibilities
1. Generate leads, sales, and track proposals and engagements.
2. Maintain regular contact with clients.
3. Plan marketing campaigns.
4. Draft copy, marketing material, and press releases in consultation with
service line managers for inclusion in brochures, newsletters, and social
media posts improve the marketing of the firm and its services.
5. Create of digital and physical marketing materials such as circulars,
mock-ups, and e-mail campaigns.
6. Support digital marketing campaigns and social media efforts.
7. Working with the service line managers to support proposal development.
8. Support in tracking the progress of business opportunities.
Qualifications and skills
1. English language skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
2. Understands and can articulate marketing techniques.
3. Proven track record in getting and keeping clients.
4. Experience in promoting services.
5. Experience in drafting sales and marketing copy.
6. Experience in managing social media accounts and related postings.
7. Experience in using tools i.e. PowerPoint and Canva apps, etc.
8. Experience in cold calls.
9. Analytical Skills to analyse market data, identify opportunities, and make
data-driven decisions.
10. Networking: to build a good network of industry contacts can be an
advantage.
11. Negotiation Skills: to negotiate deals and contracts effectively.
12. Technical Proficiency in using business development tools and software.
