About the job
Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities
Timely operational and studies petrophysical evaluation and interpretation of
all Open Hole Jobs.
All other activities/duties in Geozones as indicated by the IES Manager.
Processing, Interpretation and Evaluation of OH logs.
Quality control of open hole logs in real time and before delivering to
client.
Build effective and respectful communication with client for pre job, ongoing,
and post job for technical support.
Review logging program with client in coordination with sales and operations
in timely manner.
Coordinate with sales for upsell opportunities during pre-job phase and
alternative solutions when applicable.
At least 1 Technical paper per year.
Real Time assistance to Operations and Sales for technical solutions when
needed.
Complete all training courses and continuous drive for improvement
WFRD’s high HSE standards – no LTI and no HSE incidents in IES operations.
Application of integrated formation evaluation.
Collaborate with customer petroleum engineering staff to provide integrated
solutions to KOC.
Works with supervisor to ensure projects are completed in a timely & accurate
manner. Relies on experience and judgment to plan & accomplish goals.
Qualifications
This is an intermediate level job. Under direction completes routine
Interpreting of data to determine subsurface geology and the economic
importance of natural resources, using sophisticated technical software.
Develops geological models of the earth's subsurface to understand the
geological structure, rock characteristics and the likely distribution of
oil/gas/mineral-bearing strata. Work in overseen by supervisor / project
leader to ensure tasks are completed accurately in a timely manner. Makes
judgment on tasks of a routine nature.
Min bachelor’s degree in Petrophysics/Mineralogy, Geology or geophysics.
2- 5 years combined experiences working in WFRD and/or with an
operator/competitor
