POSITION DESCCRIPTION
To plan, organize and implement a face to face engaging instructional program
in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their
English language skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
* Develop lesson plans
* Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
* Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
* Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
* Use relevant technology to support instruction
* Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
* Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
* Provide appropriate feedback on students' progress
* Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
* Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
* Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
* Participate in department meetings
* Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
* Prepare tests, examination papers, and exercises
* Devise, write and produce supplementary materials, including audio and visual resources
* Attend and contribute to teacher development training sessions
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in a relevant field preferred (i.e. TESOL, EFL, Applied Linguistics, English)
* Teacher training certificate required. International certification preferred (i.e. PCELT or equivalent) https://www.amideast.org/egypt/learn-english/teach-english
* Minimum of three years teaching experience with adult learners
* Curriculum development experience preferred
* Knowledge of LMS and Smart Board technology as well as MS Office applications required
* C2 level on the CEFR required (i.e. 95-100 TOEFL iBT score)/Minimum English language TOEIC Score of 960 or C2 equivalent
* Near-native North American accent preferred
