role of Assistant Vice President - ICS UK
Principal responsibilities
• Responsible for leading the ICS GTRF Client Servicing team in GSC Cairo
supporting UK RFB.
* Contribute to the broader needs of the team including training requirements, motivational requirements, quality of delivery, and ethical standards.
* Operate with a strong commercial focus ensuring tight alignment to the objectives of the business, whilst enabling the right service to be delivered, at the right time, for the right price.
* Where required, manage growth and migrations in relation to the team supporting additional volumes and markets.
* Agree and baseline key KPI and KRI's that can be used for measurement of performance and for tracking improvement of service.
* Responsible for transition of the Integrated Client Services team developing, maintaining and managing MI outputs and utilization of MI to drive improved performance
* Responsible for ensuring that the team meets the SLAs / PLAs committed to the business.
* Responsible for overall team and individual performance, ensuring that the team meets their KPIs.
* Responsible for effectively coaching and managing team members and act as the first point of escalation.
* Continually engage and partner with Business Partners and other key stakeholders ensuring that priorities are in line with the strategic vision of the business.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase value per cost in line with group and team objectives.
* Provide leadership on proactive management of matters related to risk, regulations, operations and client experience.
* Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
* Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
* Deliver UK's GTRF CS strategy and operating model, aligned with the global GTRF CS target operating model.
* Ensure that issues, escalations and complaints are recorded and resolved in a timely and efficiency manner.
* Coordinate with Transaction Services staff, GSD (where applicable), BDMs, RMs and other internal/ external stakeholders for service performance and issues.
* Demonstrates HSBC values and culture and adheres strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; reports control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.
* Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
* Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.

* Knowledge and experience of GTRF products / processes and client service
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across business levels
* Excellent operations management skills with ability to proactively identify and manage risks
* Proven business and operational experience, with a strong client service record and a delivery-focused mind-set
* Strong relationship management, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
* Post-graduation in Management/Finance ( desirable )
* Knowledge of Projects/Transitions Management
* Solid planning and organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands
* Experience of working in a highly-matrixed environment
* Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy
* Outstanding written/verbal communication and presentation skills
* Strong relationship management, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
* Analytical skills to help make important decisions by reading available data / reports and using their references
* Able to articulate a challenging strategic vision and motivate people to achieve it
* Knowledge of Projects/Transitions Management
* Knowledge of Trade Finance ( desirable )
