POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Amideast Egypt seeks an Entrepreneurship Consultant for the STEM Innovation &
Entrepreneurship Competition. Sponsored by Boeing, Amideast's STEM Innovation
& Entrepreneurship Competition is initiated to empower entrepreneurs across
Egypt to showcase their innovative answers to global and/or community
challenges to help in creating a more sustainable world.
The Entrepreneurship Consultant will prepare the rubrics and assessments
needed for the competition with the help of a STEM Expert. S/he will also
participate in the selection of the panel members, guestlist, and mentors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Meet with Amideast team to decide on the competition details and requirements
* Co-develop the needed competitions rubrics (for the applications filtration, interviews, and competitions day) with a STEM Expert
* Be a committee member for competition selection and interviews
* Conduct a calibration session with the selected panel members for the developed rubrics and assessments
* Participate in the selection of the panel members for the applications' filtration, interviews, and final project evaluation
* Identify and recommend identify guests to invite to the competition
* Identify and recommend the mentors for the shortlisted applicants who passed the interview phase
* Participate in the selection of the Mentors/ Experts for the two-day bootcamp for the contestants who did not pass the interview phase
* Screen the most competitive applications and choose the best ones according to the prepared rubric and assessment
* Conduct interviews to select the most competent and suitable applicants
* Evaluate and compare selection results, interview notes and scores with other panel members.
DELIVERABLES :
* A Competition rubric for the following competition phases:
* Applications' filtration rubric
* Interview rubric
* Competition day rubric
* Deliver a calibration session for the selected panel members on the developed rubrics and assessments
* List of panel members to conduct the application filtration, interview and competition
* Guestlists recommendations for the competition day
* List of mentors/experts for the two-day bootcamp delivered for contestants who did not pass the interview phase
* List of mentors/experts for the applicants who passed the interview phase and are shortlisted to deliver a pitch at the competition
* A list of the shortlisted applications after the end of each recruitment phase
* Interviews notes and scores for each applicant
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
* Bachelor's Degree in Education or related STEM field; Master's degree in Education or related STEM field preferred.
* Proven work experience as an entrepreneur or similar role.
* Relevant training and/or certifications as an entrepreneur.
* Experience implementing different Entrepreneurship Competitions.
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
