RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Supervisor for review and validate the Train Operation rules/procedures related to Operation Control Center (OCC) and line control management.
- Manage traffic of all type of vehicle trains and others rail vehicles in zone controlled by Operation Control Center OCC Control remotely from Operation Control Center all Alarms, Signal Lights, switch position Implement traffic rules as per Operation procedures.
- Make suitable recommendations regarding alternative services during disruptions To respond to and oversee train service disruptions, mishaps, accidents and provide short notice contingency arrangements with the goal of safely restoring the degraded train services back to on time where possible.
- Take Charge of overall Radio Communications and OCC Traffic Controller Records/Reports and Memos Know and utilize safe work procedures and assure that others working in the area are also working in a safe manner. Report all potentially unsafe procedures or conditions
- Ensure EHS rules are duly implemented for drivers and traffic controller to ensure a 24/7 availability of the Operation Control Center (OCC).
- Liaise when appropriate with police, ambulance, and emergency services in regard to accidents or disruptions involving the public or property With the support of the supervisor, elaborate a daily report related to train movements (anomalies, incident, test performance and test KPI progress)
- responsible for the power configuration through interaction with the PDS system for normal service, or maintenance and emergency activities.
- Works within defined policies and procedures regarding both normal and emergency operations. Through interaction with the communications and CCTV systems, monitors platforms, stations, intrusion alarms, customer activity and any other system which affects customer service.
- Works variable hours and shifts as needed for coverage. Proficient with the function, recovery and reboot procedures of all Central Control Equipment. Ability to use Site Information Management System
Qualifications:
- Extensive Operational knowledgerelated to transit systems
- Ability to give clear and concise verbal directions
- Considerable knowledge of procedures and schedule initiation
- Ability to produce quality results in a pressure environment.
- Ability to use various computer applications for reports, shift communications etc
- Ability to implement and communicate complicated contingency arrangements accurately in a high pressure and dynamic work environment
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to be utilized in the preparation of reports and task assignments
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent in a related Operation or technical discipline and/or Vocational Training/Certification in a related discipline.
- Previous work experience may be recognized in lieu of formal education.
- Extensive experience in all phases of transit systems and transit OCC, Train and Station operation
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Operational and technical manuals, drawings, and bulletins; ability to write reports for submission to supervision that conform to prescribed style and format; ability to effectively communicate information and instructions to other Operators and technicians; in his/her native language and English.
