Purchasing Specialist

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The purpose is to execute the purchasing activities for MENA in Egypt, to
ensure the right buy is made for the season and avoid disruption of the
ordering process. To ensure best practices are followed for the buy process
and align the cut-off dates within the region and to serve as a steady link
between Business and Global.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible to support Purchasing Manager for successful execution of Buy plans in a season for MENA plant.


• Monitors the right products are procured at the right time in right quantity in alignment with Global Supply Planning and Market Logistics


• Responsible for accurate and on time checks related to Main Buy of season in MENA.


• Coordinates with Global counterpart for different PO updates such as article's quantity, size changes, replacement etc.


• Coordinates with Global counterparts for Delivery improvements to support On Time availability.


• Responsible for successful End to End Direct Order Placement Buy.


• Responsible for sharing and tracking B2B orders for MENA by providing realistic Market Expectation.


• Responsible to bring improvisation in current Purchasing processes to ensure On time Product Availability.


• Coordination with Stakeholders on Campaign and Critical article launch for the season.


• Responsible to drive automation and process improvement of Purchasing reports and development of new reports/dashboards.


• Coordinating with Buys based on Demand with other adidas Market/3rd Party vendors.


• Drive discussion with Channels and CTC and tackling production minimum challenges phased with factories.


• Support Purchasing Manager on S&OP Reporting and in driving new initiatives.

• Global: Global SCP (Supply Chain Planning), Global SCO (Supply Chain Operation), Global IT.


• EM: Purchasing, Demand Planning, BUs.


• Regional: Purchasing, Customer Service, Operations, Sales


• Local: Sales, CTC, Customer Service and Finance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Supply Chain or Purchasing knowledge


• Advanced skills in Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and knowledge about ERP systems (SAP preferable)


• Good analytical, Strong communication and Presentation skills

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree in Business Administration/Logistics


• ‎3-‎5 years of overall work experience in Supply Chain / Purchasing / Logistics / Customer Service
