Capabilities & Insights Analyst - Client Capabilities Network

Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Cairo, Egypt office as part of our knowledge team.
You will work with McKinsey consulting teams serving our clients across the
Middle East.
You will be part of our Middle East Client Capabilities Hub and integrated
with McKinsey's global client capabilities network comprising ‎2000+ knowledge
professionals who offer deep specialization across industries and functions.

What You'll Do

You will spend a significant portion of your time (~‎60-‎70%) working with
McKinsey consulting teams, driving research and analysis across a vast breadth
of topics across multiple industries such as banking, telecom, media,
healthcare and public sector.
In this role, you will be a thought-partner to McKinsey consultants, knowledge
professionals and clients. You will articulate, scope and prioritize research
needs by setting them in context to business problems using a broad spectrum
of appropriate sources. You'll perform a variety of analyses such as
benchmarking, trends identification, industry and competitive profiling,
market sizing, growth projections and opportunity scanning to add value to
problem solving discussions. You'll also provide synthesis, unique insights
and practical implications within tight deadlines via end products in the form
of single exhibits, written summaries, basic fact packs and spreadsheets. You
will be a sparring partner, leveraging internal and external networks, to
engage in team problem solving, share evolving business trends and best
practices, and contribute to knowledge creation initiatives.
The remaining time (‎20-‎30%) will be spent on development, maintenance and
redeployment of proprietary assets (analytical tools, models, etc.) and
codifying knowledge through practice documents. You will also support client
proposals and other client development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics, computer science or engineering from a tier ‎1 university


• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Alteryx and Tableau


• Programming experience with R, Python, C/C++, and/or Java is a plus


• Critical thinking and solid problem-solving capabilities including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions


• Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand the relevant analysis required to prove a hypothesis, ability to gather information around it and make informed/logical assumptions where required


• Ability to influence and work collaboratively in teams


• A strong desire to learn and develop within a dynamic, self-led organization


• Strong written/verbal communications skills


• Fluency in English and Arabic
