Job Description
* Your main role is to be part of our database team, and to collaborate with your team members to build and maintain our database environment in development, testing, and production environments.
* As a junior candidate, you are expected to learn a lot of the mentioned tasks and skills and be a specialist in a subset of them. As a Data Analyst at blnk, you will be primarily responsible for database tasks; a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
* Installation, deployment, and administration of database systems.
* Security, access control, and protection.
* Write and deploy SQL query patches.
* Apply optimization techniques.
* Debugging and troubleshooting.
* Upgrade and improve application schema.
* Prepare and present statistical information.
* Configure, manage and customize simple and primitive reporting and BI tools like Metabase.
Job Requirements
* Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
* Strong knowledge of SQL language, and preferably in ostgreSQL databases.
* Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, and preferably in Mongo databases.
* Manage different database environments, e.g. production, staging, and testing.
* Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
* Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures and standards.
* Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
* Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
* Manage front-end BI-Tools and dashboards.
* Good command of Python and ORM, in general, is a plus.
* Good command of Linux OS and basic administration skills.
* Ability to be a key player and work within a team.
* Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver excellent results.
* High attention to detail.
* Strong organization and good project management skills.
